2 weeks till MBI! Travel, Conference Calls, Luggage and Packing, and More...
Hey there MBI families!
I wanted to give you all an update with where MBI stands at this point, and put a lot of information out there. So please read carefully to make sure you don't miss anything.
1. This summer we will have 135 MBI-ers from all around North America, with a few coming from even further away! They will be split up into 3 buses upon arrival and soon after, will get their kvutzot (small-groups), that most of the programming and touring will happen with.
2. By now you should all have received and signed up for a cellphone rental if you would like. For those that may have lost the form or the link- Click Here to be directed straight to the Israelphones MBI website where you can sign up.
3. I'm sure many of you are getting ready and looking at your packing lists closely to make sure you don't miss anything or pack too much. If you think you just might have lost the packing list and luggage information that was included with the acceptance packet- Click Here for a digital copy. Remember, all MBI-ers must bring- Hat, Water-bottle, Hiking boots, Closed shoes that can get wet, sleeping bag... Click Here for the rest of the list. Remember- NO TANK TOPS (this applies for both guys and girls).
4. If we are at all involved with your travel to or from MBI, then you should by now have received your travel itinerary. We only have 3 left to send out and if you haven't received yours yet, or are confused about your MBI-ers travel information, please let me know right away so we can be clear about what is happening on July 4.
5. Final Information Conference Calls
In the next two weeks, I will be facilitating 8 conference calls to go over final information for MBI. The content of each call will be 99% the same. I have tried to organize them regionally/geographically as best I could only so that I can go over the travel information most common for each region. These calls are not for individual questions. There will be time during each call to answer questions but please make sure your questions are relevant to everyone listening. The times and regions are as follows-
Wednesday June 22- 3pm Eastern Time- Mosh/Maryland Area Families
Thursday June 23- 3pm Eastern Time- Galil/Pennsylvania Area Families
Sunday June 26- 7pm Eastern Time- Alternate Time
Monday June 27- 3pm Eastern Time- Tavor/Midwest Families
Tuesday June 28- 4pm Eastern Time- Miriam/Pacific Northwest Families (1pm Pacific Time)
Wednesday June 29- 3pm Eastern Time- Gilboa/California Families (12pm Pacific Time)
Thursday June 30- 3pm Eastern Time- Gesher/Toronto Area Families
Thursday June 30- 6pm Eastern Time- Na'aleh/New York Area Families
The call-in information is the same for all phone calls.
In order to call-in dial- 1-219-509-8222 and when prompted put in access code 6817798.
Please try and only use your allotted time. We have a limited number of open lines for each call and I did the best I could to guess according to how many participants we have from each area. Additionally, you will note that there is one alternate phone call which is being run on Sunday June 26 at 7pm Eastern Time. I have reserved more lines for this phone call, so if no one in your family can make your assigned time, this is the one you should use.
6. Remember that you can also check out both the Itinerary and the Blog from the main MBI webpage on the Habonim Website by clicking here and looking for the space that says "For MBI Kaf 2011 Families".
7. We know that many of you have been waiting quite awhile for some of this information and to hear back from us. It has been quite a hectic month getting everything in order and we certainly appreciate your patience in hearing back from our office about certain things. Aside from the conference calls phone calls, the next few weeks for me are devoted to going over and making sure all of our medical and free weekend information is in order so expect to see more on that soon.
As always, please let us know if you have any questions or concerns along the way.
